"Every Cloud Has A Silver Lining"

AN APPROACH TOWARD THE WHOLE HORSE

CIRCLE STAR FARMS is a new concept in equine breeding and lay-up facilities.

In addition to breeding and raising virtually chemical free world class Quarter horses, the facility aids in the maintenance of other equine competitors through alternative therapy..

Realizing a horse is more than a collection of parts, we combine orthodox equine allopathic care of the area's licensed veterinarians with ancient healing arts and master sciences (i.e. deep tissue massage, neuromuscular therapy, orthobionomy, biokinesiology, herbology, homeopathy, iridology, nutritional supplementation, reconstructive or prolotherapy, etc.). If you are interested in learning how to do some of these therapies yourself, go to the Naturopathy Study Course.

Through some of these methods, the horse begins to "talk" about the exact location of its elusive lameness and other aches and pains. These alternative and complimentary methods aid the innate healing energies found in the body. Thus, the applications of additional scientific studies to the body enhance the usual medical treatments while not attempting to take the place of conventional procedures.

There is a pattern - an order- in all species. That pattern - how parts fit and work together as a whole - is a basic factor of well-being or its lack.

Through our training and certification programs, we have developed a herbal nutritional supplementation, FM 11, which is economical and easy to use on a daily basis. It is used both externally as a liniment, poultice or brace and internally as a supplement. Hence, it supports the theory healing begins on the inside of the body.

On pages 13-15 of the October, 1999 issue of The Whole Horse Journal, there was an article on Liniments which featured this unique herbal formula. FM11 became known as "The Liniment You Can Eat". This product is recommended by various veterinarians for application in cases of laminitis.

These basics have aided our horses' abilities to endure the stress of competition long beyond the time when much younger horses are retired. Try Fudy, a 1976 gelding, has been in the Top 10 of the AQHA Amateur and/or Open Jumping competition since 1983. In 1999, he became 1 of the oldest Reserve World Champions in the history of the American Quarter Horse World Championship Show. Click here to view and to learn more about this amazing horse.

Additionally, we have used these methods to produce World Class quality foals out of both Thoroughbred and Quarter Horse mares without the use of synthetic dewormers, vitamins, minerals, vaccines except for the rabies vaccine or muscle-enhancing steroids. These foals have competed successfully as winners of halter futurities, western or english performance classes and professional rodeo associations. The sire of these foals is Wonder Cause, an own son of Otoe's Wonder out of a Rebel Cause mare.
